“My husband, Tim, and I have been travelling to Dorset with our children Hamish and Angus for many years as we love the beautiful towns and villages set amongst stunning countryside. Dorset offers a huge amount to do whether its long walks broken by a visit to a pub for lunch or visiting one of the many attractions. Of course, Dorset also has a magnificent coastline and visitors can enjoy the vibrancy of Bournemouth and Weymouth or head to some of the most tranquil beaches on the south coast.
Whilst we have always enjoyed our time in Dorset, we were keen to find a property that not only allowed visitors to easily access the great things that Dorset offers but have a range of shops and places to eat within a short walk. My husband likes the idea of being on holiday in England but not having to get in the car to buy anything from groceries to visiting a decent restaurant. Old Red Lion offers this; located in the heart of the pretty town of Blandford Forum yet in a very quiet no-through lane, we can reach quality bakers, butchers, coffee shops and somewhere for the Sunday papers within moments.
