Old Red Lion House is a stunning Grade II Listed building which can accommodate 8 people in style and comfort. It is located in the centre of the pretty market town of Blandford Forum yet is quietly tucked away down one of the town’s burgage plots; one of the medieval lanes off the market square.
The house was constructed shortly after the ‘Great Fire’ of 1731 which destroyed much of Blandford Forum and was formerly a coaching inn. It was converted into a house at the turn of the 21st century retaining many of its original Georgian features. Care and attention has been taken over the decoration and furnishings to create a comfortable and relaxing environment. Many of the furnishings are antique and the house has featured in Period Living magazine.
Blandford Forum provides a wealth of places to visit, shop and eat yet gives easy access to Dorset’s wonderful countryside just a few minutes walk away. Local places of interest such as the south coast and some of Dorset’s most striking towns are just a short drive away.
