Clouds Hill

‘I’ve a hut in a wood near camp wherein I spend my spare evenings’ – the words of the legendary Lawrence of Arabia, about Clouds Hill.

A tiny cottage initially rented, and then owned, by T. E. Lawrence and furnished as if he had just gone out for a walk, giving an insight into the complex personality of the writer, warrior and friend of Thomas Hardy.  Despite being small, it has charm and character aplenty, and the adjacent bike shed (where he kept his beloved Brough motorbike) contains displays chronologising his life.

Clouds Hill is a 20 minute drive from Old Red Lion House.
