St Peters church sits at the end of Market Square and as such is just across the road from Old Red Lion Yard. The church was yet another building constructed after the ‘Great Fire’ with building works commencing in 1731. More recently, the cupola has been restored and the story behind this work, and some of the history of the church can be found here.
